Job Opportunity: Inland Enforcement Officer Trainee – Canada Border Services Agency
The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) is seeking Inland Enforcement Officer Trainees to work at Immigration Holding Centres in Mississauga, Laval, and Sainte-Anne-des-Plaines.
Key Details:
- Salary: $78,769–$87,708 (plus a $5,000 meal premium)

- Eligibility: Open to residents of Canada, Canadian citizens, and permanent residents abroad.
- Work Environment: Officers manage detainees, enforce immigration laws, liaise with internal and external stakeholders, and oversee contracted services. The role requires wearing a uniform, carrying defensive equipment, and working a variety of shifts.
Qualifications & Skills Needed:
- Education: Minimum secondary school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: At least one year of recent experience in de-escalating difficult situations in enforcement or mental health environments.
- Competencies: Strong judgment, crisis management, analytical thinking, and teamwork skills.
- Additional Assets: Background in corrections, security, policing, or working with vulnerable populations.
Conditions of Employment:
Applicants must obtain security clearance, complete firearms training, and hold a valid first aid certification.
