Heather Picart (she/her) is the Clinical Director of Positive Circles, a counselling and support services agency serving the Durham Region and Greater Toronto area. Heather provides mental health support in resolving issues related to anxiety and depression to adults, couples and families, helping them develop skills to strengthen their relationships and manage conflict. Heather works closely with third-party agencies, educators, and churches to ensure clients have access to clinical treatment and accessible counselling opportunities regardless of socio-economic or ethnic diversity. She received her Master’s in Professional Counselling from Liberty University and is a member of the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals. Heather Picart identifies as a Black woman with a rich and colourful Afro-Caribbean heritage and a first-generation Canadian. She is also a wife and parent of two adult women and enjoys working out, singing and remains very active in community programs at her local church. Heather works in Pickering, located on the traditional territory of Huron-Wendat, Haudenosaunee and Mississauga.
